After making your reserveration, please send your photo ID (must match the name on the reservation) to carriewoodproperties@gmail.com. Your reservation will be cancelled without proper identification. 

Cancellation Policy: 100% Refund for cancellations up to 30 days prior to check in.  50% for cancellations within 14 days of check in.

Cleaning Fee:  Additional $200 charge for every reservation.

General Polcieis: The wind straps MUST BE secured over the tub cover when not in use. Hot Tub towels are located in the coat closet in the entry. They can also be used on the floor. No glass in the hot tub! Place cover on deck or rock drip edge when taking it off completely. Do not place it on the dirt/ground, as debris will end up in the tub.

Do not leave trash of any kind in your car. It is also advised that you lock your car and the home at night due to a local bear population with a keen skill set. :)

You are welcomed to enjoy the “Tiny Barn” , a rec room in the adjacent building. This space offers a TV, dedicated work space, dart board, corn hole , toys and books for kids, a couch to crash out on, sleds, fishing poles, and even a massage chair! Please close the main door tightly, secure the upper latch on the screen door when not in use, & pack out your trash. Do not leave food inside of this building! The barn is easiest entered via the right side of the building, or lower side of the driveway. There is a space heater available during cold months. Please turn off the space heater when not using building.

Help yourself to anything in the kitchen that you find useful.

Please turn off the electric fireplace & other lights etc when not occupying the home. Fireplace can not be used while charging an EV.

Bedding for pull out sleeper/sofa is located in the ottoman & walk in closet. Do not fold the sleeper back to sofa position with mattress pad or other bedding on mattress.

There is a fitted sheet for King Koil air mattress in the master closet . Directions for inflating the mattress are located in the "operations manual". Additional blankets & bedding can be found in the walk in closet.

Leave all trash in the house unless you run out of room. Overflow trash can be placed in the bear proof garbage can located on the downward side of the Tiny Barn. All trash in the outside can must be placed in bags. Opening instructions are located on the top of the can.

Outdoor security cameras are located on the fence & entry. They are used to monitor several things; the weather, the cleaners, the local wildlife, our snow plow service, and our guests arrival & departure. The Ring Doorbell is NOT set to notify us every time you come and go from the entry. Activity in the hot tub is NOT within the cameras range. Thank you for understanding that this is an "industry standard".

Cigarettes, Cigars, Vaping, E Cigarettes & Partaking In 420 is perfectly acceptable outdoors only. PLEASE use the yellow ash can on the side of the house, or dispose of your debris otherwise. We ask that you leave no trace in our pristine wilderness environment. There is no smoking allowed in the Cottage or the Tiny Barn.

Arrival: Check in is at 4:00pm

Departure: Check out is at 10:00am

Close windows, start the dishwasher, place all used linens & sheets in the kitchen/ laundry area, and leave unused items in place. Please start a load of towels upon departure. (Thanks) Make sure the hot tub cover is secure. Collect & leave all trash in the house, only use the outside "overflow can" if necessary.

Please report any broken or missing items.

Directions: From Hwy 66, turn right onto Eagle Cliff Rd. See sign for Valhalla & Manchins Resorts. As you drive up the road, you will come to a green house, turn up the hill after the green house, see the red & white house garage, then you will come to our cottage, the blue & white house with the Tiny Barn on the high side of the hill.

Park on our driveway only.

Your door code will be issued to you prior to check in. The instructions are  posted on the door.
